Is microneedling with PRP worth it or safe to do, while having Factor v Leiden?

Question

I was recommend microneedling wth prp to achieve best results clearing up my acne scars. But upon learning I have Factor v Leiden, I was then told microneedling alone was a better route. Is this because my prp is not good enough to use as healing agent? Or is it a safety concern?

There is no contraindication to PRP treatment with microneedling in patients with a genetic clotting problem. You might want to consider doing the Vivace microneedling with RF for better results for scars.

I'm not sure that microneedling with or without PRP would be the best treatment option for your acne scars without seeing a photo or evaluating you in person. Factor V Leiden is a disease in which a patient's blood is hypercoagulable (tends to produce more clots). I do not think there is a safety issue with regards to using PRP topically in someone with Factor V Leiden. More studies however would be needed to say that the PRP would actually be effective.
