I had deep plane facelift in January and swelling is getting worse instead of better, specially in my right neck. I always had swelling since day 1st in my right and some pain at night that supposed to be normal. My general doctor sent me an ultrasound to check my neck glands and the results indicates: at level 2 in the right neck there is a prominent lymph node measuring 2.8*0.7*1.6cm. This retain fatty hilum. There is not cortical thickening. What do you think about it ?

This sound like a deep plane facelift and I do recommend it for issues with lines around the mouth and jowl area as it pulls the tissue closer to the area of concern. I agree that less tension on the skin results in improved scars.
Of course surgeons are responsible for your care and should see you through the entire recovery process. It is important for patients to be honest in expressing their concerns so the surgeon's are aware. If you feel you are not given the attention your issues deserve, just communicate this...
