In my experience indentations caused by the garment, boards or foam can be permanent. After liposuction the fat beneath the skin becomes mobile and the garment or the foam could push the fat from one direction to the other. Trying to massage these indentations to make them smooth has worked for me. You need to go back to your doctor and see if the foam could be adjusted so it does not leave any marks. I think it's a good idea when you put on a new garment, a foam or a board that you check the skin in a couple hours to make sure it's not leaving any marks.
This is very normal. Immediately after surgery there is a lot of swelling and the garment and foam make indentations or impressions in the skin. Moving the foam around by a small amount each day helps...shift it a few mm to the right or left or up or down so the impression isn't in the exact same place every day. Most of my patients use the foam for ~2 weeks and the garment for a maximum of 6 weeks. After 6 weeks wearing a 1st stage compression garment can leave permanent indentations in the skin. Professional lymphatic massages or endermologie in the areas of liposuction will also help to smooth things out.
This is a very important question.BBL can be a relatively long surgery depending on how many areas are treated with liposuction. Since BBL can be a long procedure, some surgeons do prescribe daily blood thinner injections for 7 days after surgery. Not all plastic surgeons agree on this, but...
Thank you for your photos of your awesome results! Unfortunately, stretch marks are permanent once they are there, but there are treatments out there that can lighten and soften their appearance. With proper treatments you may be the only person to know they are there unless pointed out. I...
I appreciate your question. Cost varies by geographic location, surgeon expertise, OR time, anesthesia, length of procedure etc. I would recommend that you see a board certified plastic surgeon in your area who specializes in aesthetic and restorative plastic surgery and who is also a member...
Fat embolus is a very serious and known complication of fat transfer (which has been recently spotlighted in the media). While it is true, injection of donor fat into the infra-muscular plane (within the muscle) increases fat viability this does come with a significant increase in risk. There...
Patients interested in BBL often ask questions of the necessary volume for transfer. Ultimately, the answer is two pronged and based upon both patient expectations and the nature of fat graft themselves. BBL and fat transfer is ultimately dependent upon the long term viability of the fat grafted...
The photos you show are concerning. you should return with your plastic surgeon as soon as possible.
