Hello Im a 24 year old female and I'm 31 days post opt from breast reduction reduction. Within the last week I have notice some stinging and sporadic pain that shoots through my left breast along with greenish/yellowish pus that smells horrible it comes out and leaks. I have not had any fevers. In the past I have suffered from hidradenitis suppurativa not sure that's connected. I'm just trying to see if this is normal?

Answer: Foul smelling yellow/greenish pus coming from breast reduction surgical wound. Is this normal?
Thank you for your question. After a breast reduction, some puckering around the nipple is possible. It depends on your plastic surgeon's technique. Sometimes there is a mismatch between the circumference of the nipple aerolar complex and the skin that must be closed around it...
You are correct, it is a clotted vein. It is not at all unusually for this to occur, but you should notify your surgeon. It is not dangerous, but your surgeon might want to put you on aspirin as a blood thinner as a precaution.
You are having a problem with your stitches and you need to see your PS and get some advice regarding dressings / stitch removal. Usually this will settle with conservative management but your PS needs to advise you.
