And on my right hand side armpit is swelled up below the stitches and it's kind of dark red. But on the other side.... My left hand side armpit is totally okay there is no swelling at all. So? Is it normal??? It will be okay after few days??? I called up my nurse she said its okay.. It will take time, it's bruising. So plz reply... I'm very tense

The dark red color could be a sign of a fluid collection trapped under the skin of the axilla and your doctor should be examining you to determine if that is the case. Lymph leaks and seroma formation is very common in that area. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO

If you are concerned, you should return to your doctor for an exam. Differences in the amount of swelling can be within normal range, but you should rule out a hematoma, especially if there is more pain on that side.

You have two different arms and use them differently, so it is not unusual for the two breasts and armpits to be somewhat different at this point. Some swelling and bruising is expected. However, I would suggest letting your surgeon check you just to make sure there is not excess fluid or bleeding.
