Hi Karl. Yes, fillers like Belotero, Volbella, and Restylane Silk are good for improving under the eyes, but keep in mind that a combination approach will give the most improvement. My patients try to get non-surgical treatments to avoid surgery, so we use fillers, lasers, microneedling/PRP and stem cells. I suggest consulting with an expert to develop a treatment plan best suited for you. Best, Dr. Emer
When you squint, your lower eyelid muscles contract and pull your lower eyelids upward. Your under eye areas appear hollow, and you have bit of scleral show from droopy lower eyelids. Fillers may be a consideration after a consultation with a specialist. Thank you. Dr Joseph
Best to have personal consultation to determine exactly what is bothering you and what result you are trying to achieve. Filler injection are usually intended to improve hollowness without significant changes of eye shape.
thanks for your question. You have a problem that is quite common even among the young. While fillers can improve the contour and get rid of the depression or empty tear trough area, fat grafts may provide improvement of not only the volume but the discoloration also. This can be done by obtaining some of your own fat and processing it to make tiny even microscopic packets of fat which will be used to fill the hollows. After processing the fat even more nano fat is obtained which actually doesn't contain fat but only stem cells. This can be injected into the skin itself rather than the deeper tissues giving long-term improvement of the dark circles. I know. This is more then you were asking but it may be of some benefit down the line.
Although it is difficult to fully assess via pictures, it appears that you would be a good candidate for under eye filler. Our practice typically uses Volbella, a thin filler, for the under eye area. Fillers that are too thick can often cause the area to appear bumpy or worsen the appearance of under eye fullness.
Yes, filler would improve your under eye area. Based on your photos, you would benefit from dermal filler to smooth out the under eye area and possibly the upper mid cheek area. Please consult with a board certified doctor with extensive experience in treating this area to access you in person. Best, Dr. Zheng
Thank you for your photos. You probably prefer the look of your eyes when squinting because squinting causes your eye muscles to bulge and fill in the area of depression around the bony rim of your eye. This area can be treated with injectable fillers such as Restylane to blend that area so that you will have a more smooth and refreshed look all the time. Hope this helps!Johnson C. I see loss of volume in the medial cheek which is very suited for filler improvement. I don't see major eye "bags" which would make the correction more difficult. I would place at least 1-1.5cc of filler in the medial cheek area using blunt cannulas. If done by a skilled injector, the downtime should be minimal. There will be some swelling for 2-3 days which can be minimized with sleeping on 2-3 pillows.
You should be assessed by a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon. You may benefit from filler in the tear troughs and upper mid cheeks but these areas should only be treated by an experienced physician.
Yes i do feel some filler would improve the appearance. that area is very touchy, you must see an expert injector that uses a cannula. you need to be prepared for some possible bruising and swelling in the area for several days. Good luck
Hi @cmp08011. Thank you for sharing your photos. I recommend Morpheus 8. Morpheus 8 is a non-surgical treatment for full body skin resurfacing, skin tightening, and fat reduction of stubborn areas. It uses minimally invasive fractional radiofrequency energy (RF) to penetrate the skin deeper...
Hi @jennimohoney. Thank you for sharing your photo. The filler was not placed in the proper tissue plane. Most facial filler products that are injected into this area should ideally be placed in the tissue plane directly on top of the bone, or at least underneath the eyelid muscle layer. If a...
Hi! In my opinion, the problem is not the hypothyroidism but the recent Graves disease. This condition is a immune disease and can potentially increase the risk of complications of fillers injections(reaction to the product). To be safe, I will recommend you to talk to your endocrinologist...
