How effective is knee liposuction? (Photos)

Question

Hi, I had a full body lipo few years ago but I'm still not happy with my knees. No matter how much I workout or diet, I still have pockets of fat. Based on my pictures, can I still get good results and get rid of this fat deposit with a second procedure? Thank you!

Knee liposuction can reduce the inner knee fat pad.  If you have already had lipo there, then there would probably be scar tissue in the area, making it more difficult to remove the fat, but still should be possible.  The key is your skin elasticity.  If it is fairly good, then your skin will redrape over the trimmed down area and look good.  If your skin was pretty loss with poor elasticity, then you might see some slight skin ripples.  With such a small area, knee liposuction is not difficult to go through under local anesthesia.

Knee lipo sculpting is rewarding for the inner knee and when significant fat quantity is in the area.  An exam with an experienced lipo focused plastic surgeon is necessary to make the next decision.

An exam is always helpful, but liposuction can help with the local contours. Irregularities as a result of your previous knee liposuction will be difficult to correct.  Fat transfer with very small facial cannulae and small volume injections will give you the best chance for correction.  This area is more prone to contour irregularity after liposuction, and as such liposuction should be limited.  You also do not want to have an issue with falling skin.  Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA

The photos you provided show some areas around the knee that would be amenable to liposuction. However, the degree of improvement that someone has is very subjective and we must temper excessive liposuction with lax skin around the knees.
It would be best if you had an in person evaluation by a board certified plastic surgeon.

from the photographs it seems that you will get better shape with knee liposuction. energy ased device like vaser liposuction is  better for revision surgery.

I would have to perform an exam to see if you have fat that can be removed.  In general, knee lipo can be very effective.

Liposuction of the knee area can be effective, however it is not possible to tell if you are a candidate from photos only.  At an in person consultation, your surgeon would be able to evaluate if the extra tissue is fat (which can be suctioned), or muscle/tendon (which cannot be suctioned).
