What could be causing my belly button to become wider and deeper?

I'm 19 years old female I noticed my belly button getting wider and deeper I'm not under any type of medication nor have I done any surgery and I didn't gain any significant wight recently. I was experiencing this for a while but I didn't give it any thought before since I didn't feel any pain but it is deeper now it started to become apparent to other people.

Thank you for your question. Have your BB evaluated by your surgeon, and get clearance for a piercing. Or you could even ask them to do it for you. I hope this helps!

It is true that a lot of newborn umbilical hernias will go away by age 3. With you, it remained. This would be covered by health insurance when you have coverage. It is a simple outpatient procedure. Good luck and thanks for sharing.
