When can I go beach tanning after BBL? 2 months post-op.

Question

On my 2 week post op. I had infection. 5 weeks in antibiotics infection is gone. I am 9 weeks PO. When is it safe to go to beach? Also I want to Lipo my arms and upper back ( those areas were not touched with original surgery) . Do I have to recover first from BBL?

Best to ask the plastic surgeon who performed your BBL as he or she will have knowledge of your recovery and healing.If you are a poor scar former, wait until the liposuction scars are completely faded before tanning after a Brazilian butt lift.  If you will be just sitting and relaxing on the beach or by the pool, you might be OK. Be cautious that you do not overdo sunbathing or allow your incisions to come in contact with ocean or pool water.  Wait six weeks to three months before undergoing lipo of arms and upper back.  With the lipo of the arms, there may be some bruising that will last for a week or so.  It is generally well tolerated with only a few days that will require some pain medication.

Thank you for this relevant question. You have to bear in mind that scars are particularly sensitive to UV light. You can create hyperpigmentation or hypopigmentation. Scar forming can be irritated. Ideally you stay out of the sun for six months, however I know that is often not feasible, especially if you like your results and you want to show it off. My advice is not to stay too long in the sun and use a sunblock 50 -70,especially in the areas where the scar is. Hello dear!!Thanks for the question and provided information as well.I personally recommend to go to he beach or pool 3 months after surgery, and for tanning at least 6 months because the skin still recovering and it can suffer. And for lipo in arms or any other part the time recommended is 4 to 6 months.Good luck :)
