I have an arm band on one arm and approx 4 inch by 4 inch tattoo on bicep of other arm. I want them gone. I need an arm lift after major weight loss of over 100 lbs following gastric bypass. I have consulted for Picosure but was advised my results would not be optimal. Can I have the arm lift done in reverse to cut away the 4x4 tattoo? I realize the arm lift scar would be seen but I'm fine with that. On the arm band, obviously most will be cut by arm lift itself but could the rest be removed?

Answer: Tattoo removal with brachioplasty You asked an interesting question. If the tattoos bother you, then certainly they can be removed, at the expense of visible scars, and the time to do it is when you have some excess skin to use. See an experienced plastic surgeon and see if they can formulate a surgical plan that can achieve both goals. Ask them where the scars will be and whether or not the surgery can be performed in one step. Most experience plastic surgeons would find this to be an interesting challenge.
