Is it OK to take Advil after IPL treatment?

It is not an issue to take Advil after IPL treatment. Some clinics may suggest stopping advil, aspirin and vitamin e 5 days prior to IPL to avoid increased redness, bruising and failure for capillaries to resolve. Advil after treatment will not hinder your results.

It is totally safe to take an Advil following an IPL treatment. This will not interact with the treatment you had done. 

After IPL, it is OK to take Advil, generally because it is not an injectable procedure and there is no risk of blood thinning. It is mainly important to avoid non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (like Advil) before any treatments that make cause bruising such as Botox and Filler treatment.
What you should avoid doing after an IPL treatment:
- No sun exposure for several weeks
- Skin exfoliants
- Medicated creams such as Glycolic or Retinoic acids

Advil will not interfere with your IPL treatment. The only time you should avoid Advil or any other anti-inflammatory products is prior to a procedure that requires injections, such as fillers because of increased chance of bruising.
