Had a brain aneurysm coiled in 2007. Would Radio Frequency interfere with coils?

There would not be a problem having a FaceTite procedure, which used radio frequency energy, in a patient that had a brain aneurysm that was treated with a coil.  The energy from the procedure will not affect the brain.

Radiofrequency is perfectly safe for you, especially the newer bipolar radiofrequency devices. This technology uses radio waves that pass from one point on the device, through the tissue being treated, to another point on the device and back again. This causes the tissue between the two points to heat up to the desired temperature. It is a very targeted treatment that would not affect your aneurysm coils.
