Is there a big difference in implants with +/-50cc? (Photo)

Thank you for your question.There is not a big difference in +/-50cc.However, I would not recommend over the muscle placement. Over the muscle placement offers no support to the implants which leads to unstable results in the long run. Please know that the larger the implant - the more unstable it becomes and you are at a higher risk of bottoming out, lateral displacement, skin stretching deformities, etc. Please reconsider placement.Best wishes and kind regards,

Thank you for your question and photo.  I do not think that 50 cc's will not make a significant difference.  However, to determine what you like better, I urge you to "try on" the implants in your surgeon's office.  Be sure that you focus more on the "look" than the size of the implants.All the best,Dr. ResultsMiami, FL

Hello,50 cc is typically a very subtle difference for this size range of implant, and most of my patients find they are happy choosing the slightly larger one when stuck. My patients find it helpful to try on the sizers with form-fitting clothing in office, to get a feel for how they'll look. I recommend that you share your concerns with your Plastic Surgeon.All the best! 

Hello, in most patients a difference in implant size of 50cc would provide only a modest difference in the final appearance.  I would suggest having a consultation with a plastic surgeon and trying on sizers or having 3D imaging.  This will help you choose the final size.

Hi! This is Dr Diego Fierro. What’s the actually breast size? And what sizes do you like to become? It is not a big one difference between 300 to 350 but in some marks there is something between those numbers if you are not sure you can divide that!

Typically, it takes at least 100 cc for most people to be able to see the difference.  Vectra imaging might be helpful if offered by your surgeon.

I would suggest going to your plastic surgeon and trying on both sizes. For most women, 50cc's gives them a fuller breasts, but they are still wearing the same bra. If you still cannot decide, I would suggest going with the larger size if it works well for your frame and tissue. Your surgeon can help guide you with this decision. Good luck to you.

Dear Ms. Licha26,Thank you for your information, question and photos.The smaller the breasts the more noticeable the size change will be.My responses are:1)sizing: A)purchase several bras (full bodied and no padding) of the size you think you want to be. As you realize there are no standard bra (strap/cup) sizes. B)take a measuring cup (1 oz=30cc) place rice in a nylon C) try on various volumes of rice with some form fitting clothes.2) profile of implant: A) for the same volume the higher the profile the narrower the base width. B)there is very little difference in projection between a moderate to high profile implant thus little affect on how the actual nipple will look. C) the base width of the breast should equal the base width of the implant D)thus I personally chose the profile based on the patients chest measurements, (a high profile on a wide chest may not result in the cleavage desired and conversely a low profile on a narrow chest may result in implant in the outside arm area).3)if implant is placed under the pectoralis muscle I usually add 10% volume to what the patient chooses.... To compensate for the muscle pressing down on the muscle and for the naturally settleing of the implant which often makes the breast appear smaller 2-3 months after surgery.I suggest you make out a list of your questions and select several nude "model" photos of what your desired goals/look would be and then schedule several different consultative appointments with experienced Plastic Surgeons who are Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and who are ideally members of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (denoting by membership as having met additional criteria and a focus on Cosmetic Plastic Surgery).My best wishes, R. The difference between 350cc and 300cc can be significant.  The most important thing is that the implant fits your base width of your breast.You are young and appear thin  and I question placing the implants on top of the muscle.  3 junction women without much breast tissue placing the implants under the muscle provides more coverage  and other advantages.In my experience moderate profile plus implants  appear more natural than high-profile implants.  To see a comparison with photographs of different breast implant profiles please read the link below:
