Its not uncommon to have some numbness to the scalp after a browlift. The two little nerves that give sensation to the front part of the scalp come from just next to the nose. Sometimes those nerves can get a little stretched and gain some swelling after the procedure which can lead to numbness. It can take a few weeks or even months (believe it or not) to regain sensation. You'll know once you are starting to regain sensation when you start to feel some tingling on the scalp. Congratulations on your procedure! Best of luck with the healing.

The sensory nerve to the top of the head runs from the brow up over the top of the head. Depending on the type of lift you had done, this nerve can be either stretched or cut creating numbness. As the nerve regenerates this will slowly improve but can take many months.
Numbness after a brow lift is caused by stretching or disruption of the sensory nerves of the forehead. This is common with many brow lift procedures. With an endoscopic brow lift the nerves generally stay intact and the numbness typically resolves in 2 to 3 months. With open brow lifts these nerve may be cut and numbness can last a year or longer and can sometimes be permanent.
