I am worried that my old surgical scar will be in the way where they have to laproscopic do the gastric sleeve the cut is about an inch above and an inch below my belly botton I weigh 350 and I I know I can really benifit from the gastric sleeve thanks

Answer: Sleeve and prior c-section It should not be an issue. You surgeon may encounter some adhesions from that operation, but they can be divided to make room for our camera/instruments.

Answer: C section and the gastric sleeve Hello Nita. Yes it is totally possible and independent procedure. It's not even in the way of the surgeon so having one or several C sections does not interfere if you wish to have weight loss surgery down the road. I hope this helps. warm regards, Dr. Alvarez
