Dr. Gabriella Rodriguez deserves more than a five star rating! Everything that encompassed this procedure, including the organization of the trip, the hospitality and cleanliness of their facilities, the coordinators and medical staff, and especially the care received from Dr. Gabriella Rodriguez, herself. I was a little apprehensive I’m going to Mexico to have bariatric surgery. Dr. Rodriguez listen to my individual story and has successfully giving me the life changing procedure I very much needed were no other doctor would approve me. I am a healthcare professional in the extended class, and after Dr. Rodriguez, thoroughly examined me, she had the knowledge to trust that this was the right procedure for me. I couldn’t be more happier and satisfied with everything about this experience, from day 1 of booking my surgery, to the follow-up after care provided.

Very knowledgeable and patient and her staff was just as amazing as her! I was a little nervous about everything but they made me feel very comfortable and were very attentive to my needs throughout the entire process.

The whole process from the beginning up to the surgery , was so smooth. Jakeline was very attentive an caring, answering all the 1000 questions I had. The clinic is amazing. Met Dr Gabriela and she was above all my expectations. The surgery last 35 minutes. Had a great night with no pain. Today is my 1st day after the surgery, and I am feeling great. • From the moment they pick me up at San Diego Airport to the time they left me there again, it was a positive experience. • The facility is much better than most surgical centers I know in the US. It has everything needed in case of an emergency (regardless of surgery and surgeon there is always a risk). • My pre-operative evaluation was performed by a cardiologist. • I encounter two patients who shared having other procedures done there before and had nothing but good feedback. • Dr. Rodriguez, anesthesiologist, and nurses are true professionals. They explained each step, answered all my questions, and made me feel at ease considering this was my first ever surgery and a life-changing procedure. • Pain after surgery was minimum and recovery was easier than I expected. • I started walking the same night after the procedure and the nurses were attentive and helpful. • The day after surgery I was sent to Quartz Hotels which was awesome. They also provide a special diet in the restaurant or can send it to your room at no charge which is one of your main concerns after surgery. • Everything was clear from day one, no additional fees, and everything was included. I’m currently 30 days from surgery and lost 42 pounds so far. It’s not easy but I feel so much better, my hunger is minimum, I have enough energy to exercise daily and the daily aches and pains are almost gone. At first I was very skeptical about going to Tijuana for my gastric sleeve surgery, but Dr. Gabriela Rodriguez, Itzayana Grande, and the whole staff at VIDA Wellness and Beauty made the experience extremely pleasant and comforting. I was surprised at how everything was well organized and planned, which made the entire experience stress free. The day I arrived at San Diego airport, I was immediately contacted by the driver, who was responsible for transporting me to the clinic. He arrived earlier than expected met up with me at Terminal 2, even though I was supposed to meet him at Terminal 1. He was super friendly and nice and chatted with me on the way to the clinic. When I arrived at the clinic, I was led upstairs to the main lobby where I would be getting all my tests done. I waited on the lobby for a few minutes and got called into the room to do some blood work and other necessary tests to clear me for the surgery. After all that, Dr. Gabriela Rodriguez came in to see if I had any questions before my surgery. I was then led to a different area of the building, after I changed into my gown, and was given some medication and IV and I passed out in about 15 mins. When I woke up, the surgery was done and I was in a hospital bed in the clinic. I spent the next day there and was given lots of liquids to drink. The staff frequently checked up on me and was right outside my door if I needed anything. I was honestly not in that much pain but it was hard to drink the liquids. I walked around in the hospital room a lot and slept through most of the day. The following day I was advised to change because I had reservations to stay at a hotel nearby. The driver was ready by the time I got downstairs and drove me to the Quartz Hotel. It was such a nice hotel and I was shocked at how beautiful it was. I spent the night there and was given soup, jello, and a popsicles. Although I couldn't eat much of it, I was pleasantly surprised by how organized everything was. The next morning, the driver picked me up at 8am on the dot and drove me to a different clinic for the swallow test. The driver waited for me and after that was done, he drove me back to VIDA and I had a post op consultation with the doctor. She told me everything looked great and if I had any questions I can always call her. The driver then drove me back to the airport and I was on my way home. Overall, the entire experience was amazing. The doctor and staff at VIDA organized and scheduled everything perfectly and all of it was included in the cost of the surgery. Aside from tipping the driver and the hotel staff, I didn't have to spend any money after I paid for the surgery. It amazes me that everyone was so professional, respectful, friendly, and willing to answer any questions that I had. I didn't have any bad experience there at all. My gastric sleeve was successful and after two week, I am down 20 pounds. I definitely recommend going to Dr. Gabriela Rodriguez if you or anyone you know is interested in getting bariatric surgery. I had such a wonderful experience and was really taken care of. They even sent me a handbook on what I should eat prior to and following the surgery. 10/10 for the experience and the cost of the surgery.
