Dr Alvarez is amazing, he truly cares about his patients and his staff treats you with so much care from start to finish!!!! We felt like family the minute we arrived. His team took good care of us and all our needs were met. We felt very safe and confident in our decision in choosing Dr.A. Im so glad and happy to have went this route. I really love Dr. A. It’s scary to travel to Mexico to get such an important procedure but my insurance didn’t cover it so I took the chance. He’s really professional and I think he’s good at what he does. I felt safe the entire time and I was able to bring my husband and they treated him really well. Entire staff is really nice. And I feel like that they really does care about me as an individual. I’m excited to see where my journey takes me and I have no regrets.

Dr. Alvarez and his team are a God send. I had complications during surgery and instead of allowing me die, he called in an additional team of doctors.
After surgery I stayed 3 additional days with expensive additional treatments and was not charged $1 extra dollar. You read that right not $1 dollar. Dr. Alvarez treated me like family and so did all the Dr.s and nurses. I'm alive today because he did. I'm so thankful to Endobariatric. Would like to shout the nurses as well; Martin Garcia, Miguel, and so many more! They were an additional God send. Always happy, encouraging, caring and attentive.

My surgery was actually May 5th, 2021. I’m down 20lbs!! I crossed over into onederland. I must admit only eating 2 tablespoons for breakfast lunch and dinner is challenging. My kids have said I’m a little snippy lately but that’s what happens I guess when you use food for comfort. I’m excited about the weight loss though.

Most of my pants no longer fit but my dresses do. I’ll update agin in 30 days.

So this is a celebration post. I’m down 37lbs. I started at 220; now I’m 183!!! I’m so very excited about this. I’ve went from a 40DD down to a 38DD. I must admit though my little booty is gone. I’m going to have to walk up hill on a treadmill to get it back.

When I got married 6 years ago; I was 177. I’ll be that weight again within weeks. My ultimate goal is to be between 125-140. To put that in perspective that’s how big I was in the 8th grade. I haven’t been that small since. That feels weird to say but it’s the truth. I’m I happy I’m getting smaller. I must admit though breaking my addiction to food has not been easy. I’ve had many “teary days.” Prepare yourself for this mentally before you begin...maybe grab a counselor or join a support group; you’ll need it.

I look good though and I’m grateful to get away from obesity.

I’m finally used to eating smaller portions. I’m not much smaller than before but I certainly am still losing inches. I’m a size 12 on the top and a 10 on the bottom. I went into the surgery a tight 16 but should wear an 18.
It’s time for me to start working out. I am approximately 178lbs. As you can see from the picture I look smaller but haven’t lost much more weight. My goal weight is 145. Overall, I’m happy I had the surgery. I’ve only gotten compliments from others, even those who know I’ve had the surgery. At the one year mark I’m going to get a tummy tuck. :)

It’s almost 2 years later and I wanted to say the surgery was success. I can honestly say that even with the complications it was worth it. I was just a point where I felt like giving up on life and this breathed new life into me. Total weight loss was 60lbs. Ps as my stomach has expanded I have had to go into “mindful eating” to keep the weight off. I’m not hungry but I was hungry before I was addicted to eating. I can eat what I want but in smaller portions

Dr.Álvarez very Professional and he answered all my questions , they make me feel very confident about the surgery , and his team is amazing too !!!!

From beginning to end this was a great experience. I did a ton of research and Dr. A's name just kept on popping up. This is a man who truly has a mission and cares about you and your well being!. I was the 17,115th patient! I am less than 8 weeks out and have dropped 30 pounds. No complications or concerns at all. I would go back and do it again in a minute!

Dr. Alvarez and his team at Endobariatrics were great. They were very professional, attentive, caring staff. His hospital was clean. This is the first thing I looked for when I arrived. A dirty hospital likely means infections. Out of surgery his nurses made sure I had my pain meds, acid blockers and other meds. I never once had to ask, they were on top of it. I saw Dr. Alvarez and one other doctor from his team everyday I was there. I am very happy I went to Mexico, because I had more time in the hospital, then I would of had here in the states. The doctor I researched in Georgia was going to do day surgery, that would not have worked for me because I wasn't in any shape to move around and climb stairs in my home the day of surgery. I'm glad I had the 3 days of extra help. The directions for home care, and the follow up emails from Dr. Alvarez I have been receiving have been very useful in my journey so far.
I had gastric sleeve. No complications. I'm a month out and I've lost 21 pounds. I'm very happy with my decision and extremely happy with Dr. Alvarez and him team. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone.

Dr A is just amazing. I am glad I made this decision. I was so much nervous about this whole thing but after meeting Dr A I was very confident. I am glad I made this decision which has changed my life. I want to say a big thank you to Dr A and his team. I had the best experience!!!!

Dr A and his team and phenomenal. They truly treat you like family. I was nervous about going to Mexico alone, but there was nothing to be nervous about. I had the best experience. Don't wait..... get the surgery here, you won't regret it!!

Dr Alvarez and his team were all fantastic! I visited his facility in March of this year and couldn't have asked for a better experience. He and his entire staff went above and beyond to make sure not just myself as the patient was comfortable, but my family members as well. His hotel / hospital is awesome!! My results thus far have surpassed my expectations and my life is improving daily! I did a TON of research on surgeons in MX and continued coming back to Dr A ... I am so glad I did!!

7.5 Months Post Op and still going strong! All because of Dr Guillermo Alvarez! I wouldn't change a single thing about my decision - aside from doing it sooner had the option been there! My recovery was great. I was feeling weak for the first few days, but nothing that wasn't tolerable. I've felt worse with a bad cold!! My incisions healed wonderfully - I honestly owe the smile on my face to Dr A and his team!! They have changed my life! I am more active now than I have EVER been in my entire life .. I'm able to do things I've NEVER been able to do - I have a new sense of pride in myself and self esteem I've never had before.

Extremely good experience. From pickup at the Hotel in San Antonio, through the surgical process, recovery, and the drive back. Excellent care, top notch facility, great people.
I have been in constant contact since my return to the US. No complications, no issues.
So far I am down 26 pounds since surgery on May 25th. Feeling better than I have in years!
