Hair loss because of vit D deficiency?? Will my hair stop if it goes back to normal?

Since 2016 july = lots of hairfall. Before that I used to have thick healthy hair. No hair disease in my family. After doing nthin for almost a year , i was depressed because of my hair loss. it was stressing me out. So i went to homedoctor 2 days ago. He told me i had vit D deficiency . It was 4 ng/ml . He prescribed me D-cure . I need to take one once a week. So my question is if Vit D is normal again , will my hair stop falling ? And will it be thick again like it was before ?

For most people the answer is no: hair will not return to the "original" density with vitamin D supplementation alone. Vitamin D deficiency is extremely common in the country I practice. Nearly two thirds of Canadians are vitamin D deficient and 10 % have very low levels. Is there any evidence whatsoever that replacing vitamin D in these patients can improve hair growth? Unfortunately not for most patients. While there is evidence that individuals with telogen effluvium and androgenetic alopecia have lower serum 25 hydroxy-vitamin D levels than controls, replacement of vitamin D is not a significant growth promoter in these patients.  Are their exceptions? Yes, but not commonly.

Vitamin D deficiency is one of many causes of hair loss. If you are a male, it may be possible that you have genetic hair loss as well. For those people who have Vitamin d deficiency, correcting it may not solve the hair loss problem if there is a direct cause and effect
