Will my smile go back to normal after cheek and chin fillers?

I received 1ml of filler in each cheek and .6m of filler in my chin and love the results, this was the first time I have had this type of thing done and I had no bruising. It's now been 48 hours and my smile looks weird and fake and not as wide as it used to be. Is this just because of the swelling and will my normal smile return ?

Hello - Swelling post dermal filler injection does occur and usually peaks at 24-48 hours. This may affect your smile. The good news is swelling typically is fully resolved by one week and your smile should be back to normal. Although there are no formal studies, both arnica and bromelain supplements are sometimes used to assist in recovery. In my office, I sometimes prescribe low doses of prednisone, a type of steroid, for a couple of days or use red LED light treatment if my patient is really wanting to minimize post-filler swelling. If you have any pain or any further concerns, my best advice is to follow up with your injecting physician for an in person evaluation as soon as possible. Otherwise, one week follow-ups are usual. Just swelling at this point.in 2 weeks you will see the final result.most of the swelling is gone within 2 days
