V Beam laser settings: what number setting, limit, to avoid bruising?

Question

I,ve had two v beam laser treatment , for facial redness, but can,t see any improvement. the first treatment there was no over lapping, second treatment their was. The first treatment was painful, the second not at all, does this mean the setting could have been lower, than first one. Increasing the settings, does it become more painful? What can you suggest, that might make treatment more successful? I don,t want to be bruised. thanks.

There are purpuric and subpurpuric settings on the VBeam laser. Subpurpuric does not cause bruising. If you are concerned about bruising, consider the Limelight IPL or a subpurpuric setting on the VBeam. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles

The V Beam is one of
the best lasers on the market, and you need to make sure that the person using
it is well skilled in its use and in how to best maximize it for the facial
redness that you are describing. I would recommend finding an office with a board-certified
dermatologist or plastic surgeon or the equivalent in your country. We have
wonderful default settings now with the V Beam Perfecta, the newest version of
the device, so make sure that it is a Perfecta, and make sure that the laser
technician uses the defaults as a guide to make sure that you get the best
treatments you can get. If there is no response, the power can be increased and
the passes increased, again when done by skilled individuals.
