Is this rosacea or an allergy? (Photos)

Question

last month I had redness and little bumps Like papules only on my forehead, nose, area around neck and ear and the top of hands. I treated with Fenacea.3 weeks later,stressed at work, today I was out under the sun -night time all the same areas started to itchy and became red,but I can't see any pustules. The first time I saw a Dermato and she said it was an allergy.Could it be rosacea even tho I don't have redness on my cheeks? And if caused by stress/sun, do I still treat it with antibiotics?

Hard to tell, to answer your question, yes rosacea can occur without cheek involvement. The caveat is that other conditions such as PMLE, allergic vs contact derm, drug photosensitive eruptions etc..etc.. may look like rosacea. Be guided by your medical dermatologist. Dr Davin S. Lim. Hello, Thank you for your questions and photos. It is difficult to fully evaluate your skin with the photos, however, I do see some redness to your face. There are many causes for redness, including rosacea and allergic reaction. I would recommend a consultation by a board certified dermatologist for evaluation of the redness and discussion of appropriate treatment. Take care and best of luck.
