Relaxation massage after septorhinoplasty?

Question

In order to stay calm and mentally healthy in my septorhinoplasty recovery period, I would like to schedule some relaxation massages. As long as these were upright (focusing on the shoulders, neck and feet) and stayed away from the facial area, at what week post-operatively would this be considered safe? Thanks!

Dear Madison TaylorThanks for the question. In my opinion you need to wait 2 weeks and couple days because after 2 weeks the plasters off. Anything goes wrong you should consult your doctor. I wish you all the best.

Hello MadisonTaylor, Yes, a massage is very safe! I would recommend waiting 2 weeks after the cast comes off! Just make sure to keep your head upright. I think that after 2 weeks, you should be ok to have a massage in the upright position.  Make sure to keep your head elevated, and avoid the face-down position. Check with your surgeon for advice specific to your case.
