Follow-up: 10 months post-op results from 4900 Grafts FUE. What can I do about the lack of density? (Photos)

How do you think I should approach the situation as I can't see much of density and 4900 grafts were extracted for the procedure.I have added some extra information and pictures for the doctors to have a better understanding.Ppictures of head immediately after transplant and current donor situation after 10 months is added.

the number of grafts a patient will need depends on the thickness of their hair and the extent of their hair loss, which can be determined by the Norwood Scale below.
During a hair transplant, grafts are usually removed from the ‘donor area’ located on the back of the scalp and relocated to a balding area. The back of the scalp makes a good extraction area due to the high volume of hair follicles that congregate within that region that are not affected by the balding process. Specialist surgeons will remove a small amount of tissue that can grow hair and relocate it to the desired area of the head without damaging them.

Hello, thank you for your question. This is tough because it looks as though your transplant is not going to give you the results you wanted/needed. I’m not sure what happened during the procedure, that would be a question for your doctor. It also looks like you dont have any donor area left. All in all not a good situation. If you don’t want to go to the same doctor that performed your transplant perhaps a second opinion is in order. Good luck to you.

With 4900 grafts at 10 months you now have most if not all of the growth you can expect. No hair was placed in the very back of the crown and most of the density was placed up front; however, the frontal results do not reflect the high density suggesting a failure of the grafts to grow. The most common cause of this is technical failures from graft management. Ask your doctor.  In addition, you have donor site depletion so further FUE should not be done.
