Indentations of forehead primarily in the middle can only be seen in certain light Can feel an indent with fingers when touched Is there anything that can be done to fix this? About a year ago I had a fall on my face, nothing was broken but I am wondering if this could be related? I am 25 years old Is it possible that this is just the shape of my skull? I have attached a CT scan from last year. This is really upsetting for me and I'm hoping to find out the cause

What you have is almost certainly a normal contour of your forehead. Many males, in particular, will have a slight central forehead depression. Usually it is not noticeable. Often in very athletic bodies, it will be more obvious, usually, as you say, in certain light. Almost certainly not related to trauma: too much in the midline and too symmetrical. It is just the shape of your skull!!If it really bothers you, there is really no need for surgery: simple fillers can be done with an excellent result. You would have to see a local cosmetic surgeon who uses different types of fillers: several would work well in your case.Best of luck.Prof. Bhupendra C. K. Patel MD, FRCS
