Is my compression garment causing necrosis of belly button? (Photo)

Your compression garment cannot cause necrosis but you should see your plastic surgeon and let him/her know about this.

Contact your plastic surgeon's office right away. ONLY use the garment provided to you by the surgeon when he performed your procedure.

Please return to see you surgeon for an examination in person. To rule out necrosis or infection in your bb. 

I have not seen a compression garment cause injury to the belly button. On occasion
the belly button is slow to hear or can leak a small amount of fluid. This usually
resolves on its own and the belly button always goes on to heal. The purpose of
the garment is to help control swelling and possibly decrease the fluid that
can accumulate under the skin. It should not be painful. You should discuss
these problems with your surgeon. I am sure your surgeon would want to know that the compression is causing you pain.
