I have never had a skin problem in my life....im 25 yrs old. I have been doing facial laser hair removal for a year now so ,and i went somewhere else to do my laser. 4 weeks after the first treatment in this new place.....i had a horrible like horrible breakout. . Also i was put on doxycycline and all the pimples disappeared. How can i keep on having laser treatments and not have this happen again. I want to be free of facial hair

Thank you for your question! Laser hair removal can irritate the follicles and cause a temporary flare of acne.  If it is significant enough your physician might consider pre-treatment the day before the next treatment with a low dose anti-acne antibiotic that typically can be taken for a short course of 3-5 days.  If your physician has a microsecond domain ndyag laser it can generally remove hair and improve acne.  Ndyag laser is a good choice for hair removal in darker complexioned patients.  An experienced, board certified physician is essential to evaluate your skin and determine the treatment settings.
