Both great fillers by Allergen, Volume is a more thick viscous filler great for cheeks and for areas needing a lift, Juvederm is great for nasal folds. Volume lasts up to 2 yrs and Juvederm about 1 yr.
Thank you for your question. Both are wonderful fillers made of hyaluronic acid. One product could be superior to the other however depending on what area you would like to treat. I prefer Voluma in areas that need more plumping or lifting such as the temples, cheeks, or chin to name a few. Juvederm is a good choice for treat the nasolabial folds, lips, and facial lines. The longevity of the filler will depend on the patient. However, for most Juvederm lasts around 6 months and Voluma lasts 1-2 years. The best way to find out which is best for you is through a consultation with an experienced physician of injector.
Both of these fillers are made of hyaluronic acid. However, Juvederm XC is made to treat parentheses lines and wrinkles around the nose and mouth, while Voluma is made to correct volume loss in the face. Voluma is meant for larger areas of treatment. Also, Voluma lasts longer, around two years, while Juvederm XC lasts up to one year.
These are both Allergen HA fillers made with different technologies. The way to think about it is that Voluma is like a tight french braid that doesn't let in a lot of water and therefore gives you a greater lift in the cheeks, while Juvederm XC is like a loose braid that will allow water attraction and gives you a plumper look. So basically, we use these products in different places in the face and sometimes layer the Jevederm on top of the Voluma to get the look you are looking for. Hope this is helpful.
There is a difference in the manufacturing process in these products. Voluma is a thicker product that uses Vycross technology. This make Voluma ideal for deeper injections, such as in the cheeks and adds to it's longevity. However, it is not the 2 years that is touted by most physicians. It is probably closer to 12-15 months. Juvederm is used in more superficial corrections, and will last about 9-12 months.
Thank you for your excellent question. Juvederm Voluma is more tightly bound on the molecular level and is designed for a deeper injection in the cheek area. Because it is a thicker product, results will last longer, for up to 2 years. Juvederm XC works well to restore age-related volume loss around the mouth and nose, with results lasting for up to 1 year. Both are excellent products and typically work best when used in combination. Beautiful and natural results can be achieved. Please be sure to see an expert injector for an in-person consultation to fully discuss your goals and expectations in order to determine the best treatment plan. Hope this helps and best wishes!
Juvederm XC is different from Juvederm Voluma since they are slightly different cross links which allows Voluma to "lift" up the skin and last a bit longer, especially in the mid-face. Both products work very well for various areas of the face and I often use both on the same patient for different areas such as the chin or nasolabial area versus the cheeks. Best, Dr. Green
I would highly recommended Juvederm , many people have reactions to collagen, but wait and ensure the reaction is 100% subsided before you try another filler
Without photos, it is really hard to gauge how severe your lines really are. But in general, I would recommend a combination approach including some or all of the following: Medical Skin Care - to prep the skin and maintain the results once rejuvenatedProfractional Laser Resurfacing - to help ...
Hi there and thanks for the great question. It's hard to distinguish the severity without a photo, it can be some residual swelling, which can last from injectable fillers for up to 2 weeks. Light massage in the area with your thumb and index finger can help disburse the material and make the b...
