I would not select a surgeon based upon price.  You do not want to have revisions and complications.  I
would search for the board certified plastic surgeon who you feel is
most likely to give you the best results and who performs hundreds of
these procedures each year. I would look at patient reviews as well as

I caution you against using price as the way of choosing your surgeon. It will be very unlikely that an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon will perform a Brazilian butt lift for less that $5000, it is a very time consuming and specialized procedure when done correctly. The least expensive surgery is one that is done correctly the first time. Going cheap on your first surgery may cost you more in the long run if you need a revision by an experienced board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in gluteal augmentation. Look at your surgeon's before and after photos before you make decision. In addition, medical tourism is fraught with problems.  What if you develop a complication? How are the emergency services in the area you would choose to go to? How will you see your doctor for post operative visits or see them for frequently if necessary? I agree with Dr. Hughes. You want to choose a board-certified plastic surgeon with many years of experience. There is a higher chance of complications and risks if you look for a lower priced cosmetic procedure. Be sure to check the surgeon's website, browse through before and after photos, read reviews, etc.
