Thanks or your question. Botox does not dissolve per se. It interrupts nerve cell signaling for a period of time, until the nerve cells have enough time to regenerate a protein that they make which enables the signal transmission again. There isn't anything you can do to "speed that up"- it just happens naturally. Over time if you do not treat the muscles again with botox, they would be expected to gradually enlarge again. An analogy would be if you were working out at the gym doing a lot of biceps exercies and you built that muscle up larger- then you took a prolonged break where you do zero biceps workouts (the muscle would shrink down smaller)- then you resumed the havy biceps musle workouts and got the muscle bulk back again. Nothing with botox is 'permanent'. I hope that helps!

After 25 years, we have not seen any permanent issues with botox or other competitive neurotoxins. Since you are young and this may be the first time you received it, you may have results that last longer than the typical three to four month range. I wouldn't worry. I hope this helps.
