I have dimpled/aged looking skin on my chin area that I would do anything to make better. I had terrible skin and cystic acne growing up and for most of my 20s that is finally under control and cured. I am assuming the cystic acne is the cause of this. I am on Tretinoin daily and I get chemical peels and have done 2 micro needling sessions. I have noticed an amazing difference on my skin on my cheeks but not on my chin area. Would dermabrasion or something else help me?
Answer: Recommend a combination of a resurfacing laser and Melapeels to help improve appearance of the skin and reduce texture. Our treatments use combination therapy to improve the epidermis and dermis for most deep scars. The options available for acne scars depend on the character of your scars, in terms of topography and contour. We see atrophic and hypertrophic acne scars, as well as scars that have hypo and hyperpigmentation. We begin each scar evaluation with an assessment of scar quality and subtype. Our main concern is rebuilding collagen and that is why we use a HIDEF protocol that includes combination therapy. Morpheus 8, scar subcision, fibrous release, fractional laser, CO2 laser, Thulium laser, PDL Vbeam laser, and fractional resurfacing can be used in addition to TCA Cross and chemical peels to further improve skin. Patients should start Melarase AM and Melarase PM for active hyperpigmentation. Always begin with a consultation to decide whether early subcision should be started. Answer: Aged Chin Skin Hi! Options do exist for the skin you've shown in the photos. I agree with the topical medications and interventions you're doing. Have you considered CO2 laser? This can be done lightly and over multiple sessions to see if smoothing of the uneven surfaces occurs. There is recovery associated with laser compared with others. Using nanofat can provide stem cells and growth factors to the skin which has been scarred and damage. It may be worth visiting with a facial plastic surgeon who has staff comfortable with performing aesthetic scar treatments. Best of luck!

Answer: Microneedling Accompanied By Chemical Peel; Injectable HA Skin Boosters Can Also Work Well For Texture Irregularities A manual dermasanding can be helpful, but does have downtime. Alternatively, combining professionally performed microneedling and the application of TCA in lower concentrations can prove helpful. Additionally, or in place of the foregoing, the use of injectable HA skin boosters can also help to hydrate and tighten the skin. Make sure to consult with an experienced board certified cosmetic dermatologist and best of luck.
