I am a 41 year old male who had gynecomastia surgery in 2016. I am happy with my resulting contours but my very large areola did not shrink much. They were over 40mm. The doctor took some edge skin off of them to make them reduce. However they are still very round which makes them look feminine. Looking for a specific areola surgery now, not a second gynecomastia surgery. I know this leaves a scar around the areola and am fine with that. I really dislike this part of my body. Any advice?

From your photo you appear to have herniation of the areola tissue. This can be corrected surgically for improvement. It is a relatively quick procedure with minimal downtime. Visit with a board certified plastic surgeon near you for a consultation.
Your nipples are lower than your breast fold which means you will benefit from a breast lift. With this surgery you will get an areola reduction and lift of the nipples as well as some narrowing of the breast. Please visit with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
Correcting nipple herniation through surgery is the quickest and most reliable way to get good results. This is a relatively simple procedure that may be able to be performed under local anesthesia in some cases. Speak to a board certified plastic surgeon to learn more.
