Will my nose stay upturned like this? I had my rhinoplasty and chin implant done yesterday.

First, having anxiety or regrets after facial plastic surgery is perfectly normal — particularly because the first stage of healing is not pretty looking. I wouldn’t worry about your nose being upturned. Facial plastic surgeons usually over-rotate the nose tip upward, knowing that it will drop as the nose begins to heal. If we didn’t take that step, the tip of your nose might droop downward, which would be unflattering and aging. You won’t see your final rhinoplasty results for about a year. Your chin will also be swollen for a couple of months. If you still are unhappy after the swelling has completely resolved, you could inquire about revision rhinoplasty. I hope this helps.

You just had surgery and sill have the bandages on. Relax. Keep your head up and apply ice. Follow your surgeon's instructions and you will be fine.

Thank you for your post. You are only 1 day post op. This is too soon to know what your final results will look like. Your nose will be swollen for a while and things will continue to heal for up to a year. Be patient and give your body time to heal. If you have any questions or concerns I would recommend following up with your surgeon. 

Depending on the technique used by your surgeon, many times the nose can be upturned temporarily due to the amount of postsurgical swelling.  Your nose will change considerably over the next several weeks to months, so be patient.  Relay your concerns to your surgeon and he/she can provide you with a reasonable timeline of events to expect certain results.

Thanks for your question. It is very common and almost expected that your nose is upturned liked this immediately after rhinoplasty. This will settle down after the next few months. Everything should be fine. Good luck!
