Infini vs. CO2 laser? Which one is better to remove deep crows feet and under eye wrinkles?

I have deep crows feet and under eye wrinkles & very thin, crepey skin. I've seen a lot of pics of people who had a CO2 laser treatment done and according to the pics, this is the result I'd like to get. I was reading that Infini can give the same results. They even seem to promise similar or the same results as an eyelid/face lift. Is this too good to be true? Also, what are the pros/cons of either procedure and how many treatments will I need?

Thank you for your question. There are many types of CO2 lasers so it is important to distinguish which one you are talking about. I have had my fully ablative CO2 laser for 15 + years, and have had the infini for about 2.5 years. I would say for deep lines there is nothing better then the fully ablative CO2. Ask to see before and after pictures that the physician has done and compare for yourself. Hope this helps.

While I do like Infini for neck laxity, I still prefer my fractional CO2 for periocular rejuvenation.  Reason being is that with the CO2, we can treat over the lids which not only improves the skin quality, but helps to open the lids more.  With Infini RF, the microneedles utilized on the handpiece to deploy the RF energy, will not allow for treatment over the lids because of risk to injury of the globe (eye) below.  The only negative with fractional CO2 laser is that it cannot be utilized on darker skin types because of risk of hyperpigmentation.

Yes, fractional RF, micro needling PRP and many other treatments can improve eye wrinkles, not to forget Botox and fillers, however if you have deep etched lines, CO2 laser resurfacing is the best METHOD to address Crow's feet and severe under eye wrinkles. Post laser, a tiny bit of Botox twice a year can reduce formation of lines. Remember it is the balance of texture tone and volume that will give the best results. Dr Davin Lim. Brisbane. Australia.
