Which would you recommend; Braces or Invisalign for a severe case?

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you begged for Invisalign since you were going into high school.  Your parents put faith in you to hold your end of the bargain so please keep that in mind.  I have had braces and Invisalign, and I assure you that Invisalign discomfort is not in the same universe as braces.  It should take you about 30 seconds to get your trays in.  I'd practice at that first, and then add rubber bands.  I beat it into the heads of my HS patients that they have to wear them 20 hrs day for up to a year and to commit to this before making their folks put down their hard, earned cash.  Invisalign treatment time is typically half that of braces in the hands of an experienced Invisalign provider.  My son is about your age so I know where you're coming from too.  #1 remember why you have them.  Try to reach down deep and impress your folks  #2 Only after you have exhausted #1 do you go to braces.  I'll tell you it's not a pretty conversation.  You can do it!
