Without seeing any pics, I can't say without a doubt. &nbsp;Invisalign can do some amazing things. &nbsp;Actually, it's the doctor can do some amazing things with Invisalign. &nbsp;It is totally doctor dependent so I'd advise you to see an orthodontist that is either Elite or Elite 1% and make sure they're an independent office and not part of a chain because Invisalign counts a chain with 50 offices as one doctor. &nbsp;&nbsp;This makes it&nbsp;appear as if&nbsp;one office is&nbsp;the top Invisalign provider when&nbsp;the doctor in that one office may have only treated 10 total cases.

I had ortho treatment with extraction of two upper premolars. After more than 3 years with 3M lingual braces I am totally disappointed with the result. My smile disappeared and upper jaw went up and back. It is so bad and ugly smile now! You can hardly see my upper teeth when smiling. I am so sad and deeply depressed because I had a great smile before braces and I shouldn`t agree for any extraction. Can I reopen spaces with invisalign, put implants and bring my front teeth ahead where they were initially?

The first thing I'd do is talk to your doc about your concerns. &nbsp;I'm not a fan of "6 month smiles" because it's really all marketing as shown by your "9" month smile&nbsp;that you're not happy with. &nbsp;6 month smiles braces&nbsp;are&nbsp;used&nbsp;by general dentists and not orthodontists. &nbsp;Normally, it takes a good bit longer to straighten teeth properly which is why orthodontists don't use these type of braces. &nbsp;Your teeth definitely look better than where they started. &nbsp;I would approach your doc with a "you'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar" approach. &nbsp;Most docs will want to make you happy at no charge. &nbsp;That's what I'd do.

I had to wear braces for 9 months as top two teeth weren't rotating as he wanted. I've had the braces removed over 3 months ago now and he wanted to finish off the treatment with aligners to finalise the rotation of my top teeth. After he was happy with how they looked i was fitted with bonded retainers and I have to wear essex retainers every night. I'm really not happy at all with how my teeth look and not sure what to do? Do I need the braces on again? Is it worth seeing another orthadonist?

I tell my patients to keep on with life if an attachment falls off. &nbsp;These things can happen every now and again. &nbsp;I wouldn't anticipate anything major happening. &nbsp;Don't sweat it. &nbsp;Point out which teeth are missing attachments and your doctor can evaluate if they'll put them back on or not. &nbsp;Sometimes I don't add the attachment back on&nbsp;depending on the type of movement I'm doing&nbsp;if the aligners fit well.

I had 2 attachments fall off. I have to wait 6 days to get them fixed. Will my teeth go back to how they were if I wait so long?

Invisalign Teen was designed for situations just&nbsp;like yours. &nbsp;Invisalign Teen allows you to lose your baby teeth and allows your adult teeth to still come in while you are straightening the rest of your teeth. &nbsp;I would recommend seeing an orthodontist that is a Premier or higher provider.

I still have about 4 baby teeth left and I would like to know if I can get Invisalign now or if I have to wait to lose all my teeth first.

Extracting that molar likely won't affect your chances of getting braces. I would recommend having your dentist check the white spot that's near your finger in that picture. 

Would extracting this back moler effect my chances of braces and would I need and implant anyway? I figured since the other two teeth next to the moler were missing it wouldn't make any difference but I could be wrong:( Help!

I use Damon braces and do not use molar bands. &nbsp;It is more on preference of the orthodontist than anything. &nbsp;I will use a molar band on a gold crown because the glue does not bond very well to it to use a smaller bracket. &nbsp;If you really do only bite on your very back teeth, then it sounds like orthodontics could benefit you. &nbsp;Only hitting on your back teeth places too much pressure and force on them.

I'm concerned BC my dentist initially said my back upper two right molars that got crowns might fail. She said I had a 50/50 chance of successful crowns bc of all the decay. no root canals luckily. It's been over a year and things are ok. Will braces jeopardize my crowns? Are the molar bands used with Damon? I am 35 years old. My teeth feel like they actually only come together on the very last molars and my front bottom teeth which hit into the back of my front upper teeth.

I'm interested in Damon braces to correct my bite, and some crowding. I had braces as a child. Are molar bands used?

I'm sorry to hear about this, but this is not the first time I've heard this. I had a patient come to me in a mess two months ago. A general dentist had gotten in way over her head with braces and impacted teeth. They were lead to believe that she was an orthodontist too. If you just got the impressions within the week, there is no way your aligners are made yet which is when the dentist gets charged. I would ask very politely, not aggressively, that you thought he was an orthodontist bc you had scheduled appointments with two other orthodontists. Before the aligners are made you wanted to stop things before the dentist gets charged by Invisalign. They may charge you a records fee for the work performed which is reasonable.&nbsp;

I visited three different orthos to get info on Invisalign. The third one made me feel very comfortable and sold himself to me. Total cost $4700. When I went to get my impressions done, I gave him $1500. Found out from a friend today that he is a dentist, not an ortho. I also got an email from my insurance company that he had submitted a claim for $6000. I would feel much more comfortable going with an ortho (which is what I thought he was). What is the best way to handle this?

Consider extractions: This will create room to retract your protrusive teeth giving a softer profile. &nbsp;It "may" accentuate your chin more as well. &nbsp;Granted, I don't have any idea how your teeth are fitting together nor X-rays, but this might be an alternative to surgery. &nbsp; Surgery: This might still involve extractions to reduce protrusion, but it would allow your lower jaw to move forward. &nbsp;Again, just basing this off photos so don't take it as gospel. In either scenario I would highly recommend seeing an orthodontist because these are irreversible procedures so you want a specialist.

Hello doctors, What is the best solution for a protruded mouth and a weak chin? I had braces before and now on my invisalign tray 11. My bite is so much better now, but I do not think my invisalign will help with the protrusion. I honestly do not want a surgery but if that is the only option to improve the protrusion-why not?

You have moderate crowding. It's hard to evaluate your bite from those pics though. I'd estimate Invisalign treatment at 12 months. Your upper front teeth appear that they're leaning back too much as well.&nbsp;

I've been thinking about getting Invisalign for a while, but as I get closer to 30, the idea of having a lengthy treatment (over a year) seems unappealing. Of course, I'd plan to get evaluated by an orthodontist with full dental scans and an in-person consultation--but in the meantime, I was just wondering if the experts here could tell me if my tooth crowding is mild or moderate? It all depends on how your Dr set up your treatment. &nbsp;For example, I set up my Invisalign movements so that they are changed every week. &nbsp;

My orthodontist instructs me to switch trays every 10 days. He is so confident that switching every 10 days is safe and won't harm my teeth. I know everybody else is switching every 2 weeks, so I am still worrying some of my teeth may eventually die because of moving too fast. (I am 19 years old and have just started the treatment for 10 days.)

Is switching Invisalign trays every 10 days OK?
