Acell + PRP procedure. Is this legit and safe?

In by experience adding Acel to PRP treatment does not help, Furthermore determining the etiology of hair loss will determine what treatment is used. In general combination treatments are the most effective way to treat hair loss.PRP treatment, treating nutritional deficiencies, treating medical conditions if they are a cause such as hypothyroidism, using the right types of shampoos and conditioners, use of topical and oral medications for hair loss , laser cap therapy, peptide use, stem cells are some of the treatments involved in treating hair loss. Combination of the above treatments in various ways yields the best results.

PRP with or without Acell has been shown to increase hair volume and density.  However, you are right in taking everything you hear with a grain of salt.  Realistic expectations are key and the PRP treatments don't always give the same results for everyone.  Performing a hair transplant with PRP and Acell typically gives more robust results.  An in-person consultation would be great for you to see if PRP with Acell is a solution for your hair loss.

PRP works in many patients. Adding Acell does not seem to help much. Results of treatment primarily depend on the type of PRP system that is used. I recommend you look for the Emcyte system since it has been shown to produce the greatest number of platelets. Also, consider looking into needleless PRP with JetPeel which is a more comfortable process for patients. 

I have been doing prp for 13 years every 2-4 months and acell same now for 4 years with the prp.  it completely enhances the prp see my videos and pictures. but hair loss has many factors and you need many other treatments to Improve hair loss and prevent future loss.I suggest a formal consultation as there are a combination of treatments that can be done to improve har loss.  Oral finesteride has very little to no side effects in the majority of people; PRP/platelet-rich plasma + stem cells like A Cell help regrow hair and slow down the thinning process; rogaine and restorsea spray should be used daily; oral viviscal helps keep nutrients high in the follices as well.  Transplantation is a last resort but works early in the aging process as well.  A formal consultation and combination treatment is needed.  Best, Dr. Emer. 

 PRP has many clinical trials demonstrating it s ability to increase hair density and diameter. A cell has limited scientific evidence and is expensive. A cell has the potential for shock loss. PRP is certainly a great, affordable option for early hair loss.  It is not a 1 shot treatment though.  Most will follow some protocol and do the injections in a series.  We do a series of 3 injections spaced 1 month apart, then yearly.  We've had great results with that.  For men, they really need to consider medical therapy - mainly finasteride.  Finasteride is not safe for women though.ACell sounds great, but I advise against injecting it.  It has been used in wound care and does work well topically, but injecting it can create significant inflammation and granulation formation.  This would lead to shock loss.Consult with a reputable hair surgeon in your area and see what they have to offer...  Good luck!
