Age, 36, female - am I a candidate for facelift and upper lip lift? (Photos)

Question

Chief concerns: sagging face, assymetry of lips & distance between upper lips and nostrils I am 36 yr, female, I have a substantial amount of fillers placed in my face; cheeks, chin, lips and nasolabial folds. I am finding that the fillers are not addressing the loosening skin or asymmetry and sagging or my lips. I would rather not wait until I am older to have the facelift. I am willing to travel within the U.S

Your face is holding a tremendous amount of old filler. It is not making you look more beautiful or youthful. The reality is that the volume dominantly sits low in the cheek. The lips are also substantially overfilled. That actually makes you look older and not more youthful. I recommend removing as much of this volume as possible including dialing back the lip volume. You may need a bit of volume put back into the under eye area. I suspect that this will make you look instantly 10 to 15 years younger without subjecting yourself to any surgery.

Thank you for your question. Judging solely from your age and photos, I wouldn’t recommend undergoing a facelift at this time. There doesn’t appear to be significant loose or sagging skin, and so even if you did undergo the procedure, results would be minimal at best. I would advise an in-person consultation with a board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can examine you and offer customized solutions to your concerns. Best of luck!

Thanks for your question! I don't think a facelift is the right option for you at this age and stage in your life. I do think you would make a nice candidate for a lip lift, and I'm sure you could find a qualified surgeon in your area to perform this procedure. Good luck!
