Why is my mucocele still here after removal?

I developed a mucocele over the course of 2 years (2019 - 2021) until I had a removal procedure done. The procedure went well and they put stitches. the first weird thing was that the stitches never dissolved. it had been a year before I had to get them removed, and ever since I had my stitches removed a bump remained, and it isn't squishy. If I press on it with my tongue it feels like there is a knot in the "bubble". there's also a little squishy bump which if I cut liquid comes out.
