Will animation deformity get worse with a larger implant if I were to get a revision?

Question

I had 375cc mod placed under the muscle 6 months ago. I love my new boobs. I knew that I would most likely get AD and was OK with it. 6 months later I have AD. It doesn't bother me so much because I'm not very athletic but I do notice it. If I would get a revision to make my implants larger would this issue become more or less of a problem? My question is does size of the implant make it better? Worse? The same?

breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery.Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size.While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.

Larger implants will make the animation deformity more noticeable.  375 cc implants are large implants and I do not recommend going larger.

Larger implants can make the animation deformity more noticeable since the muscle is compressing a larger implant.

Unfortunately, the AD will not improve by exchanging the implant alone. The good news is that your surgeon can take measures to correct the AD while they are exchanging the implants such as fat grafting to camouflage the deformity or performing a capsulectomy or mesh placement. There are many different ways to address the AD because there is no one technique proven to be the best technique. It is a difficult problem to fix, so, it is great that it doesn't bother you much.
