Sylfirm eyelids and cataract surgery lens?

Question

I had cataract eye surgery about a year ago so I have lens put in the eyes. Is sylfirm safe with the lens.. in orther words, it won't do anything to the lens that were placed in eye for vision...damage lens or vision. Thanks in advance!

If you had surgery over a year ago this procedure is safe, gentle and effective thanks to its dual pulsed mode. Go to a provider with experience with the device and you will see a noticeble difference. Hope this was helpful. JB

Hello janicejoness! Thank you for your question. SylfirmX does treat the eyelids, but due to the depth of the needles (max 1.5mm on eye lids) and the localized nature of the radiofrequency, your eyes are safe. The correct technique requires the provider to hold the handpiece such that any pressure is exerted on the orbital bone rather than the eye itself. It's a wonderful treatment! Best of Luck! Sylfirm X treatment around the eyes may cause worsening dry eyes briefly (5-7 days after treatment). However, the treatment will not have any negative impact toward your cataract lens. I recommend discussing your eye conditions with your treating provider.
