3 weeks after IPL laser on face for rosacea. Is this normal?

I had laser 3 weeks ago for rosacea and it did help some, but now my face is starting to burn and more red than before i had it done. It feels like a bad sunburn. Any ideas of what it could be? Is this normal?

Rosacea can have ups and downs, and is chronic despite lasers and oral medications.  IPL isnt the best treatment anymore for rosacea and other lasers in combination work better to treat the look of rosacea and the symptoms. I suggest you see a cosmetic dermatologist with experience in rosacea who can treat you long term as this condition has no cure but can get improvements.  Best, Dr. Emer.
