Why do I get heartburn so bad my ears burn after eating?

When I eat, even if it is a small portion, it hurts. Hurts. My throat and chest like heartburn but so bad my ears burn. Had sleeve surgery two years ago. I have been eating poorly and gaining weight back.

One of the reasons is that you probably developed a hiatal hernia, is the most common cause after gastric sleeve. You need to seek medical attention to get studies to diagnose you problem and probably get a revision surgery to fix the hiatal hernia.  Seek a consultation with a bariatric surgeon.

You need to see a bariatric surgeon to be evaluated; most likely with an upper GI X-ray and endoscopy.  There are several causes.  It may be possible to "fix" the sleeve; if not, the most successful way to cure the reflux is to have a conversion to Roux-en-Y gastric bypass.
