I'm 5 days post vaser lipo and I look pregnant. Is this type of swelling normal?

Swelling 5 days out is very normal.  In fact there are usually three main causes.  First, there is the direct swelling from the procedure itself in the area of the surgery (In your case it is the torso area).  The second case of swelling is the fact that the stress of the surgery raises a hormone in your body which makes your whole body retain fluid (Sometimes as much as 10 to 15 lbs of water weight.  this starts to go away after about 7 to 10 days.  The third reason for swelling, especially around your abdomen is caused by constipation and gas retention, usually as a result of the medications a patient takes after surgery.  Therefore, it is really no to much to be concerned about, especially if the swelling is even throughout.  If you have an area that is swelling more than any other then you may have a collection of fluid or blood and that should be seen by your surgeon.
