Hi. I would really love to know if malar bags can be improved if the appropriate medication is prescribed for a thyroid problem? I am currently being referred to my local hospital for investigative tests, thyroid is only a potential possibility, but I have horrendous malar bags which have only appeared with the onset of other symptoms. They are taking over my life though as I work as a model and can't focus on anything else but how tired I look. I would also consider other treatments. Thank you.

Answer: You really have not provide enough information to give you a definitive answer.
A filler can help with the tear trough, but I wouldn't worry about the "sunken eyes" this is a normal variant abd looks good on you. There is no easy way to surgically alter it, and I would caution against attempting to do so
Unfortunately I wish there was an easy fix, however ptosis does require surgery in order to tighten the muscles inside. Consider having a consult with your parents and an oculoplastic surgeon to weight your options.
Thank you for your question. Please don't worry at one month after surgery, your eyelids are still healing. It is difficult to determine if your eyelids are drooping from your photo. Let your incisions fully heal. This will take about 6 months. If you are still unhappy, a revision may be necessary.
