It is important to choose a highly skilled and experienced surgeon to match your #facelift goals and skin type with the appropriate surgical techniques. Also, its best to work with a #board #certified plastic surgeon who is highly trained with your desired procedures. I also encourage you to look at before and after photos of the surgeons actual patients. Also, reading patient reviews of those who have had combined surgeries will be beneficial. Gathering all of this information will help you make a well-informed decision.
Far more important than the technique is the skill and experience of your plastic surgeon. Choose your surgeon rather than the technique and let them explain why one technique may be better than another. See the below link on some suggestions on finding the most qualified Plastic Surgeon. Always insist on a board certified plastic surgeon.
My strongest recommendation is to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon with experience in the procedure of interest. Ask for photos as a good surgeon should have plenty of surgical cases to show you as satisfied patients will usually provide authorization for sharing their results. I perform a significant number of face lifts each year and feel that my prices are fair and results outstanding. Another great suggestion is look for a surgeon teaching his or her skills around the country or world. Good luck!
Thanks for sharing. I don not think there is ever one best surgeon for any procedure but there are some things to look for. Many are qualified. In addition to looking at ASAPS (Plastic Surgeons) members also look at ABFPRS (American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery) Facial Plastic Surgeons. They are all double board certified and trained exclusively in the face. Also look for experience. Your surgeon should be performing facelifts at least weekly and ideally have performed hundreds if not over a thousand of similar procedures. Also, check out doctor profiles and reviews on resalself. Look at websites and patient photos. Best of luck.
Thank you for your question. There are many excellent surgeons in your area, just some surgeons are more well-known than others. I recommend you research doctors by talking with family/friends/your doctors, looking at profiles on the ASPS website (plasticsurgery.org) or on RealSelf, looking at their before/after photos, and going for several consultations.Best,Dr. Michael EpsteinMAE Plastic SurgeryNorthbrook, IL
Best to see a board certified ASAPS plastic surgeon. ASAPS is the aesthetic wing of the plastic surgery society. Check out before and afters from them and see someone qualified in consultation. Take your time, time is on your side, a facelift with SMAS may last your lifetime. good luck….
Finding the best plastic surgeon is not like finding the fastest runner in a race, where whoever crosses the finish line 1st wins. There are excellent surgeons in Boston and NYC and Maine. You should start by looking at the American Society of Plastic Surgeons website for board certified plastic surgeons in your area. Then check their websites for before and after photos. Finally, plan on several consultations to find the doctor you feel most comfortable with. This will be the "best" doctor for you.
Hello and thank you for your question. There are many expert facelift surgeons in this area. It is very important that you thoroughly research your surgeon beforecommitting to surgery. It is a good idea to research your surgeon's educationalbackground, online reviews, before & after pictures, and speak with anyonewho you may know who has had surgery with that surgeon. If good technique is used,a facelift can be done with minimal scarring and can result in a natural look, notover-done look, with rejuvenation of your face. Make sure you specifically lookat before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgeryperformed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspectis to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seekconsultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluateyou in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
I think that most of the names that have been mentioned are indeed correct. There are quite a few facial plastic surgeons who have mainly facelift practices. While all their work is good you should also feel comfortable with the surgeon and see their results in person (everyone's aesthetic is different)
You will probably obtain hundreds of different answers, all of them containing legitimately well trained Surgeons who obtain excellent results. In NYC, Anthony Sclafani, Marc Zimbler, David Rosenberg, Steve Pearlman, Phillip Miller, and Andrew Jacono are people I know and respect. In Massachussetts, Frank Fechner does great work. Good Luck.
A facelift after fat transfer will improve your final result. As we age, two important issues arise. One is skin laxity, and the other is facial vloume loss or atrophy. A facelift will reposition your skin and deeper structures, and fat transfer will augment...
Thanks for your question and the photos you provided. You are a beautiful young woman, I would not pursue any further treatment on your face. Enjoy your youth!
The SOOF is an acronym fro the sub-orbicularis oculi fat pad, or fatty area sitting underneath your eyelid closure muscle in the upper cheek. In the majority of lower eyelid procedures I perform, a SOOF lift is utilized to raise the cheek. However, it is very rare to actually lift the c...
I have never had a problem with patients on Methotrexate. It would be best if your psoriasis is under good control before you had the surgery. If you do not have any other medical problems I don't think it will cause a problem provided you go to a well trained competent surgeon. Good luck.
Thank you for your question. 9 days post op is still very early days therefore lumps and irregularities around the incision area is not uncommon. The healing process of any procedures can take 3-6 months before fully healed and settled. I will only advise my patients to start massaging th...
If your cardiologist says "no", then they must feel that the risk is too high. I have safely operated on patients with stents. At the same time, I have had a few patients whose cardiologist did not clear them and could not have surgery. Best to follow your cardiologists advice.
