I had closed rinoplasty surgery 4 years ago(at 22yo). I was extremely unhappy with the results. My nasal bridge is gone, I have assymetry on my nostrils and I don’t like that I can see the inside of my nostrils. I have been having a lot of self steem issues, but I would not want to go through another traumatic surgery again. I have seen results of Silkon 1000 and I wanted to know if I could be a candidate, and if possible share with me relevant medical literature so I can better assess risks :)

I want to emphasize that I never recommend permanent fillers such as Silicone 1000 for nasal augmentation or correction. While it might seem like a less invasive option compared to surgery, permanent fillers come with serious long-term risks, including migration, scar tissue formation, and inflammation. These fillers cannot be dissolved and must be surgically removed if complications arise, which can further damage the delicate structures of your nose. Additionally, permanent fillers in the nose can lead to severe complications like necrosis and even systemic issues like ASIA syndrome (Autoimmune Syndrome Induced by Adjuvants).

For your concerns about your nasal bridge, nostril asymmetry, and visible nostril openings, I would recommend considering a revision rhinoplasty. This could involve using a rib cartilage graft to build up and reshape your nasal bridge, providing a more balanced and aesthetically pleasing result. Rib cartilage is an excellent option for revision cases because it is strong, natural, and versatile for reconstructive purposes. An experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon with expertise in revision rhinoplasty can address both your cosmetic and structural concerns.

I understand your hesitation about undergoing another surgery due to your previous experience, but working with the right surgeon can make all the difference. Revision rhinoplasty is often the safest and most effective way to achieve long-lasting, natural results while minimizing the risk of future complications.

In general, we can camouflage many irregularities after previous rhinoplasty surgery utilizing microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections for permanent Improvement. Based on your up close photos, we may be able to get some improvement of excessive nostril show and nostril asymmetry, however, you appear to have a very wide nasal bridge appearance on front view. Silikon-1000 injections may be considered for raising a bridge, however, they do not lead to a narrower nasal appearance nor do they lead to bridge line improvements on front view. I know that you do not want to undergo another surgery, however, if you have an open roof deformity, nasal narrowing may be considered by performing osteotomies.
