I'm 27 years old, I want to know what could be the best surgeries to make my face looks shorter. I think my midface and my chin are the contributors to this issue, I know the chin issues can be solved fairly easy but what can I do with my midface?

A longer-looking face is not always caused by the midface alone, so I would be careful about choosing surgery based only on proportions seen in a photo.

At 27, the first step would be a detailed facial analysis looking at the vertical proportions of the forehead, midface, lower face and chin, as well as the relationship between your teeth, jaws and soft tissues.

If the chin is vertically long, a genioplasty can sometimes shorten it and improve the overall facial proportions. However, if the midface truly appears elongated, the solution is more complex. Depending on the anatomy, options may include orthodontic or orthognathic evaluation if there is a skeletal or bite-related component. Midface surgery is not something I would recommend simply to make the face look shorter without first determining the underlying cause.
