My face is very red after I start using roacutane. Any suggestions?

An option is to decrease drug to 40 mg every other day and gradually increase dose.mThis may decrease sensititivity and still let you use the drug. Tou will need to stay on the drug to get to the total necessary dose.

It would be nice to know how much you weigh as the dosage of Accutane depends on that and perhaps your dose can be lowered.  Most of my patients on Accutane complain of dryness and redness.  The amount of redness often depends on the severity of the lesions you had prior to starting the medication.You can use a mild moisturizer and be sure to contact your doctor and check with them about this.The redness means that the medication is working.
