Lumps and cannula line from tear trough filler. Had 3 corrective squint surgeries prior, could this have upset scar treatment?

So basically I had filler just before Xmas 18 and It has left me with lumps, and a viable cannula line through my cheek. My question is that I have had three corrective squint surgeries prior to treatment, could this have upset scar tissue already there? Should my practitioner have asked about my surgeries etc before the treatment?

Dear Chestnutblue,Thank you for your question. I know that squint surgery is used to correct strabismus, but do not know the full technique. What I will tell you is any surgery that created scarring at your lower eyelids could potentially lead to uneven distribution of filler. I agree that this mostly looks like poorly placed filler. Anyone who injects you should definitely have asked about your previous eye surgery. Most strabismus (squint) surgery doesn’t cause any scarring in the cheek/lower eyelid and so I don’t think we can blame this on that.
If you are unhappy with your situation, I am afraid that this will need to be dissolved and refilled by an experienced doctor/injector.

Sorry to hear about your experience. Honestly, this just looks likes poor technique and poorly placed filler. I would have the filler dissolved using hyaluronidase and then have another physician inject your undereyes with filler.
