Will getting PDO threads for lifting affect my availability to get a facelift later on?

Mini lifts are so great and dramatic improvement that it is usually a waste of time and money to do the PDO threads.

Thread lifts do increase scar tissue which does make a future facelift more technically challenging but I have done so in several cases.   When you are ready for a facelift be extra careful  in choosing an experienced surgeon.   I personally don’t offer thread lifts  because their results are relatively short lived and the results are modest, but they are appealing in their relative simplicity.

Having PDO threads will not affect your ability to undergo a facelift later on.  These threads only give minimal improvement, so it may be best just to wait and until you are ready to undergo a lower face and neck lift procedure.  In our practice, the goal of the lower face and neck lift is to tighten loose facial and neck skin, tighten loose facial and neck muscles, lift the jowls, and remote fatty deposits in the neck above and below the platysma muscle in addition to a platysma-plasty.  

PDO threads does not cause any significant changes scarring that will interfere with future invasive surgical face lift. Wish you the best.
